We are currently able to offer funded sixth form education for those applicants who are nationals of any EU (or EEA) countries and who are already resident in the UK before the start of their programme. These applicants are treated equally to UK Nationals whilst the UK remains part of the EU and during any agreed transition period.
The current Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) funding rules apply for the full funding year 1 August 2018 to 31 July 2019.
We feel it only right to make you aware at this time that there is a possibility that as part of any ‘Brexit’ deal, the Government may decide to withdraw current arrangements. This would mean that funded places at WQE for EU or EEA nationals may no longer be available, and that applicants would need to pay for their education.
The College does have a fees and charging structure. This can be viewed on our website at: https://www.wqe.ac.uk/assets/uploads/2018/04/Tuition-Fees-Policy-2018-19.pdf
ESFA funding guidance is updated annually and we will of course make you aware of any changes that may affect your application for a funded place at WQE as soon as any new guidance is received. As a non UK National you should continue to keep yourself informed about the potential impact of ‘Brexit’ on your education eligibility.
