Emma named This Girl Can ambassador
Emma Harper has been chosen to become a This Girl Can ambassador. She is one of 70 students who’s new role is to encourage sport to widespread social groups and the local community.
Students across the country submitted applications along with a handful of our own students. However Emma’s application was successful in securing the opportunity.
With her new role Emma attended a National Training Day with AoC Sport which took place at the Olympic Park in London earlier this month.
Emma (pictured on the right) had this to say about the event:
The experience as a whole was massively beneficial as I went away fully informed about the objectives This Girl Can have set and want to achieve. Meeting all the other girls who, like me, were also so passionate about sport and want to spread it to a larger audience was a great opportunity to make new friends and grow in confidence when speaking to my peers. We were given a lesson on how to grow a platform where we can then promote sport to more social groups. Many of the speakers there were very inspiring which has only motivated me more to help my own region in the This Girl Can Campaign.
