The Careers team are very pleased to announce our events for the rest of this term – with three events across three weeks we really think there will be something for everyone!

College Careers Fair: Thursday 28 March, 6 – 8 pm

Our main College Careers Fair will take place on Thursday 28 March from 6 – 8 pm at the University Road campus. We are looking forward to welcoming over 35 employers across a range of sectors including engineering, health (NHS), business, banking, finance, accounting, retail, the Armed Forces, Uniformed services, the Voluntary sector, events management, law and transport and logistics.

Employers include Rolls Royce, Mattioli Woods, HSBC, Triumph Motorcycles, PwC, KPMG, East Midlands Airport, Dunelm, Grant Thornton, and many more!

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to talk to employers and find out about work experience, Higher and degree Apprenticeships, sponsored degrees, part-time work, careers, entry requirements and get hints and tips about what employers are looking for.

All students and parents are more than welcome to attend, it promises to be a fantastic event!

University Exhibition: Friday 5 April, 10.30 – 2.30 pm

We are following the Careers Fair with our second ever annual University Exhibition which will take place on Friday 5 April from 10.30 – 2.30 pm.

We will be welcoming over 60 Universities from across the UK and students will be able to talk to representatives and find out more about

  • Entry requirements
  • Courses
  • The application process
  • Careers
  • Any questions they have related to University and the UCAS process

Creative Industries Event: Friday 12 April

The UK’s creative industries are worth £101.5 billion to the UK economy. It is a massively growing sector particularly here in Leicester and Leicestershire. This event is for students who are interested in a career or a degree course in one of the Creative Industries.

We’re really excited to welcome a range of Universities including specific institutions such as the University of the Arts London, home to Central St Martins as well as Universities who are coming to talk about their creative courses for example Birmingham City.

There will be workshops running in lessons throughout the day and a marketplace event from 11am – 1.30 pm so that students can come and talk to Universities directly.

For more information on any of the above events or if you are an employer and would like to get involved contact Kate O’Farrell, Careers Education Manager, on 0116 2472982 or email
