Rachael Mailer has taken to the stage with The Bristol Suspensions. The former student who now studies at the University of Bristol has joined the award winning a capella group in the exciting journey from Bristol to the BBC.

The Bristol Suspensions are a mixed a cappella group from the University of Bristol. The group formed in October 2014 and from then on they have established themselves across the globe. From performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to being named champions at The Voice Festival UK last April, their success is now taking them across the atlantic when they embark on their first US tour this September.

Rachael excelled in Drama at WQE even participating in the college musicals and concerts, therefore it comes at no surprise she’s finding success with the group as their Alto 1 vocal.

The group fought it out on BBC One’s Pitch Battle with their performance of several pop songs from various artists. Their performance amongst other groups was judged by US pop star Kelis and Gareth Malone. The group gave an upbeat performance but ultimately lost to Portsmouth Gospel Choir.
