A Level Results Day
WQE College is celebrating another year of fantastic A Level results with an overall pass rate of 98%.
College Principal, Sandra Hamilton-Fox commented:
“We are delighted with our A level results and congratulations to all of our students and staff. Our students are a credit to the College. They have worked so hard to achieve these results.”
The majority of our students progress onto higher education, and once again this year our students have successfully gained places on to a huge variety of courses.
Last month Taariq Pala and Nishtha Limbachia were both awarded the Reading List Foundation Scholarship to help them towards their university degree. Taariq has achieved three A* and an A which has secured his place on a computing degree at Imperial College London. Nishtha achieved an A* and two As and will study English at University of Nottingham.
Our former Student Executive President Ebie Edwards-Cole has achieved an outstanding 3 A* grades securing her place to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at University of Oxford.
With the increased interest of degree and higher apprenticeships, we’re delighted that students have also secured places with well-known companies such as Barclays, Grant Thornton and Mattioli Woods.
Students celebrating their acceptance onto apprenticeships include Emma Jane Green who has secured a fantastic opportunity with The FA working towards a business admin apprenticeship.
Aamena Makda has successfully been offered a project management apprenticeship through the civil service.
Joshua Freer has already begun his software development apprenticeship with Mattioli Woods and Hafsa Ali has secured a degree apprenticeship with the same company.
From all of the staff at the college we wish all our students the best of luck with the next chapter of their lives.
