LRC encourages students to read ahead
The Learning Resource Centre is supporting the Reading Agency’s Reading Ahead project which encourages students to do more reading.
Introduced on 30th January, the project requires students to choose six reads of their choice – books, poems, magazines, newspapers or websites and record their activities on a reading record. Once the record is completed, students will be awarded with a certificate and the opportunity to enter a prize draw.
Reading records can be collected from the Learning Resource Centre.
Kate Lambert, Senior LRC Assistant at WQE, said: “Everything changes when we read and that is why Reading Ahead is run by the LRC every year. It is a programme designed to help students improve their reading skills and develop a love for reading. The aim is to encourage them to read for pleasure. Get Reading Ahead and see where it takes you!”
