Police surgery block reveals opportunities for young people

Students attended a police surgery block at WQE, to find out about opportunities available in the force and tips on how to stay safe in the community.

Hosted by Leicestershire Police, the session took place on 11th February at University Road. Officers spoke to students about careers in the police force, their roles in the community and local concerns. Students were then given leaflets about crime prevention and awareness.

The next surgery blocks are due to take place at the R building on Regent Road, in March and April.

Zahid Ahmed, Police Community Support Officer for Leicestershire Police, said: “Our beat engagement at the University Road was extremely positive and we engaged with many students. Thank you for accommodating us.”
