Our annual Prizegiving awards was held on Wednesday 12 September at the Leicester Tigers stadium. The evening celebrated our leavers and their remarkable achievements.
The night of celebrations included an address from our Guest of Honour Bali Rai, performances from our music students and a number of prizes distributed to our students.
This was the first Prizegiving awards ceremony for our new Principal Paul Wilson:
These academic achievements are a substantial element in our Prizegiving evening. They are the product of the abilities, determination and ambitions of the students; the professional skills, enthusiasm and commitment of the staff; and the support provided by parents, families and carers.
The evening celebrated students from a variety of academic, community and sporting achievement. The full list of Prizegiving award winners can be found here.
As well as our students the college recognises teachers who have gone beyond their role with the Innovation in Teaching and Learning award. The prize was presented to Sharron Brannen (Drama and Theatre Studies) and Duncan Omand (History).
Musical performances were provided by the talented Joey Walden, Jayce Thomas and Pranav Pandya.
Following the award ceremony, students, parents and guests were invited to an art exhibition and refreshments to continue the celebrations.
