Physics technician Steve Lord recently cycled over 100 miles from Leicester to Mablethorpe to raise money for Leicester’s Children Holiday Centre.

The charity provides free seaside holidays for disadvantaged children in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Around 350 children each year have the opportunity to travel to Mablethorpe to enjoy a week of fun activities provided by the holiday centre.

His legs have since recovered from the cycling challenge and he presented his check of £1200 to the charity along with his friend Simon who also took part in the fundraiser.
