Student Exec raises money and Christmas cheer

Our newly elected Student Executive team chose Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day as their first fundraising activity.

Save the Children is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.

They encouraged staff and students to get involved by holding a competition for the best Christmas jumper. They also sold bags of sweets to raise even more money.

Billy Merrell won the executive team over with his elf jumper and Santa hat with beard, he claimed 1st place. The following prize winners are listed below:

2nd Place – Sofia Marinos

3rd Place – Billy Carlisle

4th Place – Ashlea Smith (WQE Active)

The total amount raised for the charity was £126.75. On behalf of the Student Executive team we’d like to thank everyone who got involved.
