Students explore gap year and volunteering opportunities
Students attended the annual WQE Gap Year and Volunteering Fair, to find out about opportunities available in the UK and abroad.
Hosted on 6th February, local and national organisations held stands providing information and guidance on how young people could give back to good causes and learn new skills whilst experiencing new cultures and exploring the world.
Exhibitors included the Air Ambulance Service, FOCUS Leicester, National Careers Service, Projects Abroad, Frontier, Voluntary Action Leicester, LOROS, STA Travel, Menphys, Richmond Fellowship and CLIC Sargent.
Kate O’Farrell, Careers Education Manager at WQE, said: “Thanks to everyone who supported the event. It was the biggest one yet with 220 students attending and the feedback was really positive.”
