In this context, we are looking to appoint a well-qualified, self-motivated and enthusiastic Head of Welfare and Skills, who will help us provide the best possible learning experiences and outcomes for our students. Following our recent merger of QWE and Regent Road College, it is planned that that this post will operate across both our University Road and Regent Road buildings, located within a 12 minute walk of each other/ 5 minute drive of each other.
The successful candidate will work to provide efficient, responsive and flexile leadership of the College’s welfare and skills function in order to ensure the provision of the best possible experiences and outcomes for students, as well as fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will also have overall responsibility for systems and processes to ensure appropriate support for students or groups with additional learning support needs, health issues or disabilities, including ensuring there is a robust process for risk assessment for students with individual support needs, so as to promote their safety and welfare.

This is a full time permanent position commencing January 2019 (earlier if availability allows). The salary will be at a point on the Sixth Form Colleges pay spine which ranges from £ 24,098 per annum to £39,329 per annum with a responsibility allowance Band 4 which starts at £7,934 per annum.
