The College operates across two closely located campuses, the larger campus next to the University of Leicester on University Road and a smaller campus at Regent Road.
The College is seeking to recruit a Safeguarding Assistant to work directly with the Associate Principal Students and Welfare, as part of the Safeguarding Team. This newly created post will develop and support the College safeguarding structure, keeping safeguarding records up to date and accurate, liaising with students, staff and external agencies to ensure appropriate communication. At a time when safeguarding is an ever changing challenge, we seek to add new capacity to our safeguarding team in this vital role.
This role will provide a broad variety of tasks and challenges but at the same time the successful applicant will be supported by a close knit and highly functioning team. The Safeguarding Team has evolved tremendously in this academic year and we seek to continue to improve as we move into the next academic year, this is great time to join a team with a great ambition and passion for student safety and wellbeing.
This is a permanent, term-time position working 37 hours per week (plus four additional weeks during the year), commencing asap. The salary will be on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Support Staff pay scale 22-25 which ranges from £18,780 to £20,765 per annum pro rata. The actual starting salary for this role is £17,972. A defined benefit pension scheme is also offered as part of the remuneration package for this appointment.
